Dr. Micah Sapir

Dr. Micah Sapir is a pedagogical research and development assistant at the Mandel School for Educational Leadership. He completed his doctorate in sociology of education at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, where his dissertation examined how digital technologies in education shape pedagogical practices, curricula, and educational aims of shaping students' political, economic, and moral subjectivities. Micah holds a master's degree in sociology of education from the Hebrew University and a bachelor's degree in gender and sexuality studies and education studies from Yale University. Alongside his work at Mandel, Micah is currently a fellow in the Afikim Program at the Ministry of Education, where he serves as a knowledge broker within the Ministry’s Haredi district. Prior to joining Mandel, Micah was a research intern at the Israel Democracy Institute and a research assistant and teaching assistant at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, where he also worked at the NCJW Research Institute for Innovation in Education. Micah performs with the Jerusalem Chamber Choir.
